One thinks because Democrats or Republican want a specific item that they will betray their ideals. It seems more likely to be a staring contest to see who blinks, and nothing gets done because time has, "run out."

Be it bridge act or DA: it is all the same amnesty to Breitbart readers

You say BA will pass but your assertion has no basis in reality

If BA can be attached to Spending, why wouldnt DA be attached?
Why? Because Trump has said no citizenship. PERIOD. Specially without getting a wall in return.

Why? Because time is running out and no way will he sign an eventual path to citizenship with no wall.

Why? Because Paul Ryan won’t even bring it to a vote in the house and the Democrats know this. Only way to pass something is through budget negotiations and it has to be something realistic that the president will sign into.

Why? Because Trump has tweeted himself and has told Democratic and GOP leaders that he is willing to give DACA more time if Congress doesn’t come up with a permanent solution. Which is what the BRIDGE act will do.

Why? Because Obamacare, Tax reform and Iran deal will most like take over any DACA talks, yet wasting more time. The lasting thing Congress wants is watching DREAMERS expire by the thousands and being at risk for deportation.

You have to understand that there is a lot going on right now and this will be just a stop gap. I get it, you’re no fan of the BRIDGE act and neither am I, but this is what it looks like this is what we will be getting.

Congress inability to work together is a sign this country will fall just like the Roman Empire did. No doubt abou it.

I talked to one of our Federal clients today at work and asked what she has heard from her superiors and higher-ups about a potential government shutdown over the budget in December. She said they usually have a pretty good idea if it's going to happen and will initiate internal contingency plans for their own work and contracts. She said it's pretty unlikely a shutdown will happen in December since things have been operating normally and she hasn't gotten any notice or orders of precaution from her superiors. She says the Republicans will also catch a ton of flak.

I guess the question now is if the Dems have the balls to threaten a shutdown for us on top of the budget item?

It is premature to talk about BA when its authors haven't even mentioned it by name since early spring.

It has more co sponsors than the RACT act and the DREAM act 2017 bill. Please explain how is the BRIDGE act “premature”?

Not calling the bill by it’s name does not make it “premature”

More cosponsors?

BRIDGE Act in the House only has 31; DREAM Act in House has 200.

BRIDGE ACT in Senate has 9 cosponsors; DREAM Act in Senate has 9 cosponsors..
