did i say that? i was just voicing my opinion on how would you justify proving anyone over 35 years old is a Dreamer in this current political climate? anyone past that age should be legalized through Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

fuck the Dream Act then, let's just legalize everyone.

and no, i really dgaf about republicans or democrats and all that bullshit parties.

Let's not resort to arguments that will derail and eventually lock this entire thread.

In his defense he does have two college degrees. Aside from that he most likely came at a young age and can prove it.

dude thats fine but im looking of the optics of the situation, how can you really win public opinion and sympathy of a Republican Congress and a Republican President to legalizing a 50 year old Dreamer?

the DACA population has already won the public opinion.

Even Trump himself said that he only wants legislation that would only cover the current scope of DACA recps which doesnt include a path to citizenship.

i wouldnt really want to jeopardize the lives of current DACA recps so a larger scope of people can get amnesty which this Republican Govt will never allow. We are just getting lucky they are allowing DACA recps to be legalized.

That's not for us to decide. Congress will decide what to do. Idk how you wake up on morning and decide to call out aged out dreamers like that. I get that you are stressed we all are. I've seen you show sympathy before. I just don't get it

Have aged out dreamers not gone through much more hardships than any of us?
And who gives a damn about what those repubs think of our ages. Even 20 yr old dreamers make them cringe.

Agree. They should follow most rules from DACA, must have entered before 2012 at least.

dream act is for anyone brought here as a child and is struggling with their illegal status that was thrust upon them by their parents' short-sighted actions.

that was what 20 years ago or more? now i know americans arent the brightest bulbs in the garden but i'm pretty sure they still consider their 30 year old sons/daughters their children/offspring.

the average american doesnt need to know that some dreamers are old as heck and technically not children/adolescents/young adults. they are however, someone's son/daughter who was brought here through no will of their own and has suffered because of it and in part thanks to the broken immigration system and unwillingness to uphold the laws be it out of mercy/greed/apathy.

americans have had the power to nip this in the bud before it even became an issue, before the numbers became so problematic.

the only americans to take notice of the age of dreamers are the racists.

if we can only get a certain age of dreamers legalized then so be it, americans will soften up to the idea of CIR once their fears of legalizing illegals is dispelled by the first batch.

it is however sickening to see all the sycophantic cowards willing to turn on their own once they start getting trickled down on.

Emotionally, it does make sense to include everyone. But, realistically, some people have to be left out in order for a relief to happen especially under this administration and a trade-off must happen between both political parties as well.
