^This ! I'm not sure why people can't use simple logic to understand that this is how its gets done. There will be a time to negotiate, but legislators on both sides of the aisle haven't gotten there yet. So by all means keep complaining that it's a waste of time and that it's stupid, who are you possibly hoping to comprise with right now? Unless you have some type of intel on some secret closed door meetings going down between Democrats and Republicans... the time to compromise has not yet arrived.
But let's be honest, we all know that once it does get to the point where these sit down meetings and negotiations start happening there WILL be some type of Border security compromise in order to pass DA.

Shut down don't matter. A few days later there will be an emergency congress meeting and then a bill is passed for another 6 months. Been there, done before.

Some of these orgs refuse to even compromise at that point period. Not all of the members view a clean demand as a negotiation strategy.

Also, even reaching an agreement on border security measures is complex. You do not leave these negotiations the week before Congress goes on winter recess because chances are people will even disagree on the border security elements.

You guys are wasting a shit load of valuable time.

Most politically inaccurate statement. Did you not watch yesterday's press conference when Durbin was pressed about a Dream Act-border security compromise? He clearly damn said he is already negotiating. This alarmed many of the clean Dream Act groups. "they haven't gotten there yet" Lmfao what in thee blue hell are you EVEN talking about man. God damn.

You guys are wasting time and it is making you look naive and illogical.

Yyou should be helping Durbin in negotiations. He clearly said in yesterday's press conference he is already freaking negotiating on border security and the Dream Act behind close doors after reporters pressed him. Some of you just surprise the hell out of me. The time is now to meet at the middle. Look for the video on facebook. It spread like wildfire.

Something tells me you guys just say it is a strategy to brainwash others into your stupid clean Dream Act movement. Some of you don't see it as a strategy. You absolutely refuse to meet at the middle now or later. Complete bullshit.

If the house is not at the middle yet, it's because you guys are putting pressure for a stupid clean Dream Act. You guys are not helping at all.

I can guarantee that only a few people in the clean Dream Act movement advance this position as a strategy. Even then, I still question their true motives because I know for damn sure after arguing with several that most of them refuse to come to the middle at all. Not now--not ever. They WILL NOT compromise ever. They want a clean damn bill--not buts or ifs.
