Exactly. If the Senate and House minority leaders are promising this and the unofficial leaders of the Democratic party i.e Kamala Harris (2020 presidential frontrunner), Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren are promising not to vote, they will all follow suit.

The thing is they want the optics to remain in their favor. They also don't want Republicans to get ready and pass a short term funding if it looks like Democrats will play hardball.
Republicans are occupied with tax reform because they need to pass it to appease the Koch brothers and they need the money for the upcoming reelections.

Given the support from both sides, I don't think we will be going back to the shadows but a Bridge act is no longer a good option.

This sounds like Republicans+White House are dead serious on getting Raise Act as a return, thanks to Cotton and Purdue.

December will no doubt be a nasty month.

They also know that Raise Act will NEVER pass on it's own, and that's why they want to attach it to DACA fix.

The GOP can shove their immigration bill up their ass.

The damage they've done to garnering Latino or millennial voters is done. They should just stick to milking their racist white base until they become extinct.

Like we can trust Republicans on getting anything done. Almost 8 years of repeal and replace and nothing and they expect us to believe they will fix everything in 2 months??

they haven't voted on the CHIP re-authorization for over a month, but they say they'll do an immigration bill next year? I doubt it!

They GOP is a corporate billionaire loving party that uses racial resentment to sell their awful policies back to their racist ass constituents.
