I think you're missing the point. Schumer and Pelosi saw this meeting as a waste of time considering Trump was already playing mind games with his tweets.

Instead Schumer and Pelosi decided to go to table with the people that were willing to take things seriously and make some type of deal.

yep i just read that on the article.

I still disagree, I believe talking to Trump would have been better. But either way this doesnt mean a gov shutdown will happen. That is last thing we need.

some GOP (including the WH) are using Dreamers "illegals" as a scapegoat for shutting down the government and pitting us against vets and other constituents.

thing is, there are other issues like child healthcare, cost reduction payments, military spending that need to be addressed with the year end omnibus bill.
