Still, on Congress, I am referencing back all the way to 2007 (which includes 2010). The Republican conference (both Senate and House) has used the same stalling tactics for the last 10 years on ALL pieces of legislation (from CIR to Dream Act) which tentatively authorizes the US government to forgive past unlawful presence. The same message has been given over the years if you look at what lawmakers have mentioned.

Imo, the biggest cruelty is to give a false hope when the evidence over many years have pointed in the opposite direction.

The point I was making is that Repubes don't care about our economic contributions, sympathy toward our case, or the fact that we are out of the shadows already. None of that matters to them. Dems (especially Durbin) and maybe me one or two Republicans want to help us, and that is the only reason we have a fighting chance.
