Fuck Republicans man! I will never forget this; and I hope they have distanced themselves enough from the growing Latino community that they never gain another majority and go extinct

Pretty much. I doubt republicans can whip up the votes to even get a 2 week extension. So either:

1. Talks happen Thursday, and at night congress passes some kind of funding with the democratic shopping list.
2. Talks happen Thursday, bill gets filibustered, government shuts down.
3. Trump fucks it up again and the talks are again off bringing us a government shutdown.
4. Republicans somehow whip up the votes for a CR and numbers 1-3 are delayed by 14 days.

Hoping for #1 but #4 seems more likely. They are going to try to push the can down till Dec 22nd.

I really doubt the freedom caucus will let them. The fact that there's another meeting scheduled for the 7th means that they hope that they can get the votes but likely won't.

Remember, Ryan has an easier time trading with democrats than with the freedom caucus. Why meet with democrats now if you can just ram an extension on your own for now?

They really shouldn't, they gave 3 months with no strings attached already. If republicans can't rule on their own then democrats have to have input.

Republicans have had enough time to come up with a budget deal and meet with democrats but of course they cared more about passing tax reform.
