I don't want to hear the wall/fence is "non-negotiable". Remove that word from the dictionary. There are millions of lives at stake here!

This is why I think something is going to happen:

Democrats want a daca deal just as bad as trump wants the wall, in fact, I would argue that Trump wants the wall more than the Dems want a daca fix, furthermore, I would venture to say that a stand alone wall bill is nearly impossible to get approved with the current Senate (60 votes would be needed) and even more impossible if and when the Dems take over the house. So we can see this whole spending situation as one of the many opportunities to fix daca or we can see this spending bill as the one and only opportunity for Trump to get his wall.
