If House Freedom Caucus & other conservatives bolt, GOP ldrs won't have enough votes to approve interim spending bill on their own. Can only lose 23 GOP votes & not need Dem help

Keep in mind that the GOP leadership gambit to avert a gov't shutdown was all designed to court Republican-only votes and pass a Republican-only bill to avert a shutdown. It will be hard to pin a shutdown on Dems if Republicans can’t deliver enough votes to pass their own bill.
