@MEPFuller

Just a guess here, but whatever the Freedom Caucus and Donald Trump cooked up just now probably isn’t gonna fly with Senate Democrats.

This could be more about optics in a shutdown than preventing a shutdown.

Filibuster, that's how. You invoke a filibuster the other side needs 60 votes to overcome it, which on the flipside means you need 41 nays/nvs to stall the bill.

Democrats need 41 altogether here. McCain is out sick so he is not voting by default. That leaves 40 more.

As is 10 democrats would have to break rank, and we know that at least 2 Rs* won't vote for CR, which raises the amount of turncoats required to 12 or more.

* Technically Rand Paul said he won't but he's a bitch and probably will so I'm not counting him.

They're trying to put the blame on Dems for the inevitable shutdown?

Probably.

@MEPFuller

A Dem aide just told me Steny Hoyer told Democrats they are 99% together.

You do the math on how many Democrats that equals, but it's not many.

Shutdown happened under Obama over the debt ceiling...

Now it will be over DACA...and it should be.

The Republicans fail at legislating. They dont have a backbone to oppose their senile ignorant racist in chief.

Fuck them all!

Senator Feinstein has flip floped three times today and is not being clear. Her office says she's a no but if there's anyone here form California, call her OFFICE!

"Shutting down the government is a very serious thing. People die, accidents happen. You don't know. Necessary functions can cease," she said
