Repeat after me: "There go I, but for for the grace of God." ... oh about 100 times.

It's really a tragedy that a single stupid mistake like this is going to literally ruin this guy's life. Everyone is on the same page that we need to be model citizens here in order for people to "take us seriously" and consider giving us permanent legal status, but be careful to not draw too tight of a box that fits your circumstances and no more -- because there's someone out there drawing an even tighter box that excludes you.

After all:

They came for the 40 year old guy working with fake papers in order to support his 4 kids, and we said "Too bad! Maybe the guy should have considered getting legal paper like us -- we got DACA!"

They came for the guy with DACA who had a little bit of pot on him, and we said, "Too bad! He shouldn't have been doing that!"

They came for the guy who was born on June 14, 1981, but has been in the US since 1990 and we said "Too bad! He's too old to get DACA, but we are not!"

... and then when DACA runs out for all of us there'll be people saying "Too bad! Should've been born in the US!"... but those people will not be us.
