Wondering if we can do that...

You should be able to but it would be a different petition, meaning you have to pay for other forms and stuff. Kind of like reapplying.

This is just my opinion but I don't think family reunification should be negotiated in the dreamers deal, that should be addressed during CIR.

Plus, if they put us on a 10-12 year path to citizenship, it would already take us a long time before we could sponsor anyone. Republicans should just take the wall, border security, and maybe the DV lottery in exchange for legalizing us. Anything else, I see it hardly passing.
Yeah that’s a massive overhaul and cuts legal immigration by 50%, the lowest since 1920. It’s too much.

Don't see why not.

Exactly! I mean, I know the democrats have publicly said they want to help us, but how can they help us when that means risking the future votes of their constituents? US citizens won't be okay with forgoing from having the possibility to sponsor their parents to give us relief. Cutting legal immigration by 50% in exchange for legalizing us is not a balanced and fair negotiation. I am as tired and angry as you guys for being in this legal limbo for decades, but we have to look at the bigger picture here, the government is always gonna choose the option that benefits the largest group, and we are not the largest group here unfortunately :/. I still hope they reach consensus on a solution that is fair and balanced down the road. For now, get those renewals in and buy yourself some extra years of protection!

I disagree. I think both sides can reach a deal if we keep pressuring.

I surely hope so too. I hope they reach a deal. I am just looking at the whole picture here, what I said is merely my observation but by all means, we should keep pressuring.
