You guys don't get it, no matter what the demographics, there will always be a 2 party system, they will just find new issues to create a dichotomy of the new electorate. The uniparty serves the masters. Also, this 'deal' is nothing new, they already said limits to chain migration would be for NEW applications, existing backlog would be addressed at TODAYS rates which would take 13 years, if you look at my history I wrote, "if Dems expect to be in power in the next 12 years, which is the current backlog, they can just change the immigration law". Note, they won't because they want to use us for political gains.

What about the money for internal enforcement (more ICE agents, judges, etc)? Are they dropping that?

RE: the LA Times story (picked up by @axios) of a "new" WH deal, from the reporting its the same proposal that cuts legal immigration by 50% and clears the green card backlog. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't keep levels the same - and the restrictionists are saying the same thing.

It seems its the same policy as before but they're now "counting" dreamers as new immigrants to say the cuts are further in the future...anyway, this might be wrong but from the reporting, it seems the same deal.


hmmm...I guess we have to see the details.

Seems like a good idea. Republicans will get to say that the new residents being added (us and any pending sponsorships) will be offset by cuts to immigration and Democrats will be able to say that any cuts to immigration will be offset by us being legalized and the clearing of the sponsorship backlog. Win-win for both.

OMB Dir Mulvaney on Fox on FY ‘19 budget: We are assuming in our 2019 proposal that a DACA deal is done and that the border wall is funded.
