Then you when I asked you if you really believed that US citizens should lose their rights so that 1.8 million “Illegal” DACA recepients could gain status. As that would mean that we have more claim than US citizens families, you tried to argue that.

don't be naive.
think rationally.

can you not read? i literally said the opposite.
Yet, family reunification IS for parents, spouse, children, and siblings of US citizens NOT for “distant distant” cousins or other family members, and and they would lose that right if congress passed the presidents sponsored bill! Not sure why you are trying to tie in distant family members to this argument when have nothing to do with it and have no “claim” to “gifted” green cards..

i'll clarify myself one more time, because you apparently don't understand what i meant.
the chain migration that most people want to end, is the one where people outside of a sponsor's nuclear family unit(their mom, dad, and siblings) are granted entry and given a GC with no connection or stake to the country.
now, unless you actually believe that a foreign US citizen should absolutely be allowed to eventually bring in his aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandparents, and in turn their extended family via indirect sponsoring, i don't know why you are so passionate for defending this.

Chain migrants are legals. We are illegals. Simple as that.

Ok, this is the last time I will try to explain this to you.. THERE IS NO SUCH CHAIN MIGRATION!! It is NOT possible to sponsor outside the current immediate family (Parents, spouse, children, siblings) any further sponsorship further than that is simply NOT possible. The reason people are against the administrations plan is that it changes the current interpretation of immediate family, they would define “nuclear family” to ONLY spouses and underage children. MEANING that American Citizens would NO longer be able to sponsor their parents or siblings. That’s why people are passionately defending it! I really don’t understand why you can’t grasp the concept..

Please don’t be as ignorant as the Fox News zombies screaming that immigrants can sponsor their 3rd cousins twice removed..

yes it is, good god, are you this ignorant? how many times do i have to tell you, even left wing sites admit it happens but try to word it so people just look at it in a dismissive way like you are right now.
a US citizen can sponsor their parent, and then when their parent becomes a US citizen, they can sponsor their brother/sister, the original USC's aunt.
then when that aunt becomes a USC they can sponsor their children, the origianl USC's cousin.

Yes, once one becomes a US citizen you are given the same rights as any other citizen (I.E you can sponsor imediate relatives) That is the whole argument!!

But don’t make me laugh, by the time a parent becomes a US citizen and they can sponsor their siblings (F4 category) we are looking at a minimum of about 20-30 years!! Now add the time the aunt becomes citizen and can sponsor her children, total time line for the cousin to become a citizen is around 40 years? Not to mention all the hurdles on showing sufficient funds to sponsor a relative and the paperwork. Yes, after the next generation is sponsored the previous is probably dead..

How was I proven wrong? The fact is that you CANNOT sponsor outside your immediate family. You are trying to argue that naturalized citizen can then sponsor their immediate citizens. No shit, that’s a citizens right.

The problem with reforming it is that you are trying to take away US citizens rights!!

you don't have to take away that right in order to change it so that stuff like i explained doesn't happen.
