The way I see is this:

Trump is like a chimpanzee with a gun in its hands, He can either hurt others, hurt himself, or do nothing at all at any given time.

It’s impossible to guess what he will do, but I wish he can tone down his demands to get a deal done, because if DACA stands because of the courts, and he doesn’t get immigration done, it will look real bad for GOP in the midterms

With daca save for now, trump can't use the urgency to save daca to get what he wants. He planned this out. He ended daca so he could demand the stupid shit he was because he though democrats and republicans would give him what he wanted including his wall in exchange for some relief for dreamers.

Now that urgency is gone, which may be good for us because now he won't have the leverage anymore. However he still wants his wall. His wall is his legacy and he's gonna get it

I think he ended it because he wanted Congress to come up with a solution.

So, are you saying he will ease off some his demands?

Agreed. They can choose to do nothing about it until midterms, but if they don't it can be used against them in the midterms by Democrats.

My question now is though, will democrats and the GOP cooperate to find a permanent solution in the next few months or will they use it for campaign purposes to win more seats?
I feel somewhat bittersweet to be honest, I am glad and thankful for these injunctions and the SCOTUS decision to not hear the case now, but at the same time I am fucking tired of not being able to plan my life for longer than 2 years at a time :/. But I guess we have no options other than wait to see how this all plays out or return to our countries. I will probably choose the first option and wait until 2020, but if Trumps gets re-elected, I would probably self deport.

What about you guys? I am curious to hear what your plans would be if no relief is passed by 2020 and Trump gets re-elected. Not trying to be pessimistic here just trying to have an open discussion and hearing your opinions on the matter.

My employer is ready to transfer me to Canada if DACA does not get fixed.

I am very lucky to be with one of the few company that has this power. My employer is one of the biggest company in the U.S. (top five by market cap). They also have been very outspoken in support of DACA.

I can qualify for express entry into Canada, so I will move there. My mother is a USC, so I can come back to the US using her petition once the 10 year ban is over.

That seems to be the best plan I could come up with. Don't want to turn 40+ and still be illegal. Gotta leave at some point and move on.

You truly are fortunate. Glad you have a plan B in case this doesn't end well. If you don't mind me asking, what company do you work for and what country would you choose to get transferred to?

Sucks to be Trump. You can't get your stupid fucking wall in exchange for an extension because the extension has already been given to us.
