Couple of elections dont mean shit

Wait till Dems lose even more seats in Senate

We would be kicking ourselves for not taking the deal now

Economy could turn into shit at any time

Then kiss any daca deal good bye forever

DHS Sec Nielsen now on CapHill now mtg w/Dem senators about DACA/border wall funding

Fights continue between Dems/GOPers over border wall funding in the omnibus spending bill. Fox is told the GOP is also trying to make sure the infrastructure Gateway Project for NY/NJ pushed by Schumer doesn't wind up in the bill. Trump has threatened a veto over this issue

DHS Sec Nielsen on CapHill after mtg w/senators about border wall funding in exchange for DACA fix: I just had a meeting with a variety of senators who seemed surprised that some of the offers made by the admin were rejected out of hand..but I continue to remain committed

At least we are still being brought up in discussions. It was quiet for some time. We'll see what happens.

She met with only Dems right? What offers did the White House make that surprised them? We only heard of one.

Everything for close to nothing, basically the Trump dealmaking. Schumer offered him the wall for the Dream Act to end the debacle, Trump turned it down and now is making some stupid half assed offers to keep pointing at democrats and saying "see, they don't want to deal".

Worst of all there are retards (including here) who actually believe that. Trump has nothing to offer to you and is only trying to sow discord. Not saying that democrats are perfect but when votes come out 95% D in favor vs 2-3 republicans in favor then you're really bitching about the wrong group here.

Bonus points for trying to drive a hard bargain after two courts place injunctions and US Supreme Court told him to fuck off. I can only imagine the beatings 9th and 2nd circuits will hand down in due time.

If anyone literate here actually read the bridge act and understood it they'd want nothing to do with it. It places more restrictions on us than there already are but of course "3 years guys (and 3 years only)". Then of course we have the other parts of the shopping list: DV lottery, family immigration, etc.

Billions for a dumb wall that solves nothing which Mexico was supposed to pay for? No problem.
Billions for modernizing the NJT/Amtrack rail so it doesn't suck? No fucking way.

Fucking Dotard. I hope it gets in and the whole thing gets vetoed.

Trump is a cancer for the US, he is intentionally hurting states like NY and CA to turn voters.

He could have taken Dream Act in exchange for the wall, but the truth of the matter is that he is a racist bigot, that is selling the US cheap. meanwhile idiots sport the MAGA hat "made in China".

They wouldn't take Dream act, nor current DACA eligible only:

"A congressional source familiar with the negotiations, who was not authorized to speak on the record about details of the conversation, confirmed that Trump did make such an offer Sunday. Democrats countered the administration's offer with a request for a path to citizenship for the DACA eligible population in exchange for the $25 billion for wall funding, but it was rejected. The source said the conversation centered around that main offer.
"

Anybody saying that Drumpf wants a DACA deal is lying.
