But what if you are a lawful permanent resident (LPR) who has never given USCIS a new address, or has already waited, perhaps a year after moving? According to the law, willfully (intentionally) failing to give USCIS your new address is a misdemeanor that can be punished by a fine of up to $200 and up to 30 days in jail.

The law also says that an LPR can actually be removed (deported) for failing to give USCIS a new address, unless the LPR can prove: (1) that the failure to report a change of address was “reasonably excusable” or (2) that the failure was not “willful.”

However, in practice, it is unlikely that the immigration authorities would actually prosecute or deport an LPR who failed to update an address. Immigration authorities have limited resources and cannot go after every LPR who fails to update his or her address. Nevertheless, strict enforcement is always possible in theory.
So could they retroactively deport you for not having reported changes of address? Has everyone here always updates their address even before DACA?

So they mean only people with final orders or voluntary departure who didn't comply? Or anyone in removal proceedings. BEcause there's thousands..

You mean you haven't been filing an AR-11 with USCIS every time you move?

It's a trap you fools!!! They want your passport so they can easily deport you.

"Have to include a passport from country of origin, birth certificate, or state ID"

Where is this from, source?? The inadmissible requirements are quite tough and will leave many, many people out. This is bill designed to keep out as many people as possible and still get to say we solved the problem, their fault if they don’t qualify . Personally, this bill excludes me and one other DACA person I know.

Nah you buggin. What the hell. I've been here since I was months old and now I'm 25. I feel like a bird in a cage. I gotta see other places! What's the big deal with America not letting us travel wth. If the keep dACA the way it is and pass no bill, they should really improvise and give us permission to travel freely. Even if it's for 30 days.

I'm sorry I didn't go to immigration court when I was 11. I'm sorry I didn't know I had a removal order until my mid-20's due to missing said court date. I'm sorry I've advocated for people like you in meetings with Ryan, Cruz, Diaz-Balart, Pelosi, Graham, Durbin, Curbelo, etc. But hey, I hope you get yours.
