Separations will continue. Administration wants congressional fix. Trump won't sign a stand-alone either.
Of course. He wants to use little kids as leverage.

I hope he really shuts the government down for good!

This would probably hurt Republicans more than Democrats in the midterms.

September will be an interesting month indeed.

Watch Democrats throw away any leverage away like last time...

"Politico reported Tuesday that Trump is uninterested in the Senate’s plan to provide $1.6 billion on Trump’s wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Instead, according to the news outlet, he wants the full $25 billion for the project funded all at once."

he wants that wall. a Stand alone family separation bill will be vetoed by him. The issue is a bigger leverage point for him than we are.

LOL I can’t fucking wait.

At this point, not giving Trump a win will help Democrats. The only way I see them caving is if DACA is abruptly ended by SCOTUS next month. Other than that, I guarantee you that Dems won’t give Trump any wins.

Trump will not shutdown the government, he might say a lot of questionable things at times, but stupid he’s not. He knows a shutdown so close to midterms will hurt his party. This isn’t the first time that he’s threatened a shutdown.

GOP SC Sen Graham after mtg w/Trump on border wall spending: I think there’s a deal to be had. I’ve always believed..How you structure it is yet to be determined, but it’d be great to fund the government, not shut the government down..

From colleague Anne Ball. GOP CA Rep Denahm "disappointed" the Hse will likely lack the votes on immigration bill. Says only way to pass a bill is for GOPers to work w/Dems. GOP can't pass bill w/GOP votes alone.

Joe Crowley defeated by 28 yr old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Maybe Dem leadership will finally get the message, put up or move the fuck out of the way. Pelosi and Schumer won’t be sleeping easy tonight.
