Not sure of what's next, but one thing is for certain, DACA will end up in the SCOTUS. The window from now till then opened up a little in our favor.

scotus wont take up daca till maybe spring 2019.

the kavanaugh confirmation isnt 100% for sure as well.

scotus could still be 4-4.

everything will be much clearer after midterms on november 6th, not just DACA... but EVERYTHING.

If that's the case, that's when I will submit my renewal since I expire in May 2020.

its a game plan to confirm Kavanaugh because DACA is not in danger, he wont be grilled over it during confirmation fight which will start from next week. Hanen just dismissed TRO an immediate halt of the program while it is still being debated because Texas couldn't prove irreparable harm and they were too late to file lawsuit.
once SCOTUS is 5-4 and after Nov elections, he'll halt the program which will end up in SCOTUS and effectively shutdown. they are removing DACA from both confirmation fight and being a mid term election issue.

This is the biggest development in the DACA court fight since January. It all but erases the possibility of immediate resolution in Trump's favor. DACA renewals may well be safe thru June 2019. via @dlind

Nothing really new...as expected it will come down to the Supreme Court. The case won't be fast tracked, so more time in limbo.

Apart from other theories of waiting for a scotus nomination, I also see a delay as us losing our "young immigrant" argument. Soon enough we won't be able to use the numbers of those below 18yrs old to further argue we're children and thus losing public support because we don't have that sentiment argument.

Still better than having our renewals stopped dead on its tracks.

So, they're going to use that constitutionality argument to kill DACA? Fucking Paxton.
