I don’t really care about a CR - I think it’s somewhat expected if they attach daca, let it be 5 crs.

We would save Billions of Dollars if the Democrats would give us the votes to build the Wall. Either way, people will NOT be allowed into our Country illegally! We will close the entire Southern Border if necessary. Also, STOP THE DRUGS!

News - The House will NOT be voting this week. And a 2-week CR deal may be announced soon. Shutdown deadline would be reset to Dec. 21. Merry Xmas!!!

Cue the news cycle of "there is a deal to be had" -> "we have agreed that we need to agree to a framework" -> irreconcilable differences -> trump tweet about the 4 pillars of stephen miller. Don't forget to donate to democrats though!

Not sure if Bush’s passing is a good or a bad thing. I want DACA solution to be attached to the bill!

“We don’t need to extend this forever," a House Democratic aide said of the stopgap. "What do we get out of kicking it an extra two weeks?” The delay should be short, and the shorter it is, the more likely it’s going to force a resolution. ... We would prefer as soon as possible.”

All spending negotiations will effectively be on hold until the meeting with Trump, Pelosi and Schumer is rescheduled, the Democratic aide said.

The vast majority of dealmaking is already done, with six out of the seven outstanding appropriations bills essentially finished. But spending leaders can’t tie things up until Trump and Democrats can agree on border wall funding.

Sounds like Pelosi will not have a good time in negotiating as per the article.

Quote:
And Pelosi — who is set to become speaker on Jan. 3 if she can win a House roll call vote — isn't interested in any money for the wall.

Pelosi's Democratic colleagues, especially incoming freshmen, loathe the notion of a border wall and have pressed her to block it. With Pelosi in need of nearly every Democratic vote to regain the speakership, her freedom to negotiate on this issue is very limited.
The House can still pass under the Republican House, so really, it’s all in Schumer’s court.
