Bridge act is like TPS.. it will last 3 years from the moment it becomes a law so we all going to expire at the same time.

So the only way this makes sense is Trump saying he's willing to offer concessions in regards to immigration for his wall? If he truly wants immigration reform, the government isn't going to open for another month at least.

This is what the Republicans are asking for so it's hyper conservative.

We all agree that some protection is better than nothing so of course I want more than just Bridge Act. But I'd take that over not even DACA anymore.

The problem will arise when the Democrats unveil their version of the compromise that asks for the legalization of all undocs currently in the US, all undocs trying to get asylum at the border right now, and all undocs that will be arriving in the next 20 years.

Result: status quo, nothing gets done.

We need more centrists in Congress.

Which is why it has a great chance of passing now because he has to sign it and

not if they vote on a bill that already was created (2013 immigration reform)

I watched the video Trump keeps saying "we need people" which actually makes sense. Low unemployment means companies need workers. Getting rid of DACA people means you're actually taking educated, young, already integrated out of the country. This would contradict his statement "we need people" to work jobs in businesses.

A good sign for DACA. The problem is... if he demands his 4 pillars + removal of birthright citizenship + changes to legal asylum in return, it all goes to hell.

He also says "it's a blessing in disguise" which to me, sounds like he will step away from his hard line immigration and want people to come.
