I'm not too sure about that. If what you say is true dems wouldn't be arguing over specifics and there wouldn't be any "internal logjams". If you're doing something for show you're not going to put that much effort into it or to have news break that there's disagreements.

They have to respond to the moderates. They can't just say oh no I don't think this bill will go anywhere so fuck it. Dems are trying to appear rational rather than straight up no to everything like Republicans.

If being rational is their goal, there still wouldn't be many arguments. I don't think law makers spend time arguing over something they don't plan on passing because their time is valuable.

It's hard to say really, I don't what's going on anymore. All I see is chaos.

All I see is a plan to steamroll the democrats on their central immigration focus.

They are going to knock the wind of the democrats and the democrats are sitting there sticking their stupid chicken faces out while the republicans do a long ass ultra highly telegraphed wind up for this suckerpunch bill.

Cmon democrats, band together, dodge this, come out with a better one that they cannot say no to.
