Lets not pretend that it's anything more than dogwhistles. If you were to deport everyone that's not a USC those high skill jobs wouldn't go to all the Cletuses. Not to mention that a lot of people are out of work because of COVID because the work they're doing is unessential, unsafe, and can't be done remotely. If you're working something that can be done from home then you're most likely doing it from home.

This is true. Cubans literally just needed to land in the US and they were handed a Green Card and they're the most Republican Latino community in the country. I've seen some Indians especially attack DACA because the h1b visa was cancelled. There is simply no solidarity in a lot of immigrant communities.
