it all depends on what he needs and how it can benefit him. Maybe because he made an enemy out of trump he is trying to shore up his base.

I trust people like Cornyn to serve their own self-interest first and if voting for us is in their self-interest they will do it ( not saying he will).

The question is how can we make his interests align with ours. The same is for all politicians.
