They gotta compromise with enforcement for the DA. Send them back until everyone can be processed. Block that frikin forder ASAP, im seeing tik toks of people at the border finding random shit at the border that makes it appear that a bunch of children are being trafficked.

Everyday when I wake up I pray to god lord Jesus all mighty thanking him no dreamer ever makes it to congress. If some of you ever made it there wow you’d be worse than these racist republicans assholes.

Is a DA as in clean DA or border + DA? Cos 2Face was saying it’s a DA
The truth is that original dreamers are getting close to their 40s. We are getting old and can't afford to wait another 10 years.

There will always be more people coming, and in 10 in years, we will need another Dream Act bill again. Hate to say it, but the GOP has a point when they say DA alone can't solve the issue.

The new younger dreamers can afford to wait another 10 years, but we don't have much time left. A lot of people in this forum are in their mid/late 30s, we have been fighting all our lives and really need a permanent solution now.

You think any politician cares about any of that?

I think the politicians need an actual emergency to act... Since daca is in place, it becomes a game of who can get the better deal and declare the W. If no deal happens then, 0 consequences because daca is in place.

Also, let us stop with the personal attacks and stick to the issues. The infighting between a select few ruins everything when people are having a serious debate. Lets create a thread just for personal and racial attacks... you guys can go crazy there.

Durbin is being an optimistic politician. But, he also knows a lot of things we do not know.

There are multiple things going on right now.

The biggest thing is the surge of minors at the border. In a Politico article, Graham said he was a “hell no” right now due to the “border crisis” even for the DREAM Act. So, we will have to wait and see how the border issue is addressed.

Another thing is that according to Politico and The Hill, Durbin is involved in discussions with a bipartisan group of centrists, including Susan Collins, to address certain issues, including immigration, in order to combat the current hyperpartisan Senate environment, which led to the debate on removing the filibuster among Democrats.

While the current environment is very against our chances, if everything works out, things can happen for us.

The current border crisis can be a catalyst to encourage Democrats to attach somewhat strong border security amendments that they would normally oppose. Due to the increasing debate about nixing the Senate filibuster among Democrats, it may somewhat force some (centrist) Republicans to the discussion table because they want to avoid the “worst case scenario” for the filibuster for them.

They don't care, but we should. If a bill come by that doesn't include "all" the dreamers, we should still support it even though not everyone can benefit from it.

In my view, this is indeed the BEST chance in 20 years to pass some sort of legislation to legalize Dreamers. This is the only way forward for broader immigration reform.
