I'm not a fan of TYT...but everyone knew that was a longshot from the beginning. I do think the Democrats (or at least some Democrats) did legitimately try.

They don't even need to replace her. They just have to ignore her, but even if they do - how do they then convince Manchin - who is already unhappy about the bill and is always on about the integrity of the senate rules, to vote for it?

All I am saying is the parliamentarian saying no should not be the nail in the coffin.

We'll see what happens this coming week, definitely it's gonna be a roller coaster of emotions. I'm dying to find out what Durbin's new proposal is about, likely only DACA and TPS.

Nothing against you, but if it’s a matter about the number of people who will be legalized…fuck them. What difference does it make? Why not essential workers?

Essential workers and farmworkers need legalization stat. No doubt about it. Healthcare and infrastructure, child care, home care, and agriculture.

Green Cards for 2050. What have I been staying all along?

Same shit. Different toilet. Durbin saying the fight continues is pathetic. He's been at it for 25 fucking years. FFS, I fucking hate politicians left and right.

R's hate us, and D's lack the balls to save us.

I agree with you.

VP Harris can override with more common sense and humanity.
Not sure I'd count on her...

To paraphrase you, not sure refusing to help when you can is a good political strategy.
