I don't even think TPS has a chance. We may have a 10% chance if the bill is DACA only.

I view the text of what the House passed as a placeholder for the actual legislation that's going to be passed. It might be the same, more or less.

It depends on what the Parliamentarian approves and what the Senate Dems decide to do with the parliamentarian.

FWIW, it seems like a 5 year parole not a 10 year one.

A lot also depends on the guidelines the Dept of Homeland Security issues.

Personally, I would be ecstatic if they simply abolished the 3-10 year bar. Ecstatic.

This concerns me because although a positive step, it might contain minefields and headeaches to deal with.

It doesn't touch inadmissibilities or bars to AOS in 245(c), parole as a part of EAD application won't help in your case. Basically, get an I-601A unless you fall under 245(i).

Very skeptical as well. I highly doubt the parliamentarian will say yes to this. They won’t obviously override her or fire her.

At least the automatic travel authorization will cover your ass so you're not yoloing the consular interview.

I don’t understand why they never put simply removing the bans (at least for childhood arrivals) on the table. Seems like an easy change to do that would let lots of folks move on with their life.

If you want the tl;dr version because you're lazy: criminal grounds (CIMT, prostitution, human smuggling, drug crimes, etc), terrorism, genocide, personally heiling Hitler during WW2, use of child soldiers, human smuggling (again), practicing polygamy, international child abduction, and unlawful voting.

Basically it's all the kiss of death inadmissibilities.
