Seriously? Was it for your removal of condition?

No it was my initial green card application. We were married for almost two years around the time our interview was scheduled and then canceled. By the time Covid happened and the summer came around it had been two years since our marriage. My attorney said he saw another client who had been married for more than 2 years get an RFE instead of having an interview scheduled due to Covid backlogs.

For those of you doing AOS via marriage during the pandemic... did you still have to see a certified doctor for a physical?

That requirement hasn't changed or been waived. Due to processing times and the fact that medicals expire most people will just file I-485 without the I-693 and get it done after they get a courtesy letter or an RFE.

Hi everyone! Has anyone started AOS process during this pandemic? Curious to know of any outcomes or any information at all. Thanks!

Thinking of doing it soon. Was waiting for DACA to better itself now that Biden is in office. I don't know. Been busy with work and COVID

Submitted my packet in late February via lawyers. I have my I-94 and everything else in order, AFAIK.

Biometrics were scheduled in March but the field offices closed down on the day of my appointment ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I believe they let me know that they've decided to use my previous records within a couple weeks.

Got a RFE in April to prove spouse's income in the past years (he had a rough patch a few years ago, but currently all good). Current status on the USCIS website is "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview", as of May 22.

Unless you are trying to get petitioned in something like EB-1 (researcher), EB-2, or EB-3 (professional), categories which require a college degree, no. All other groups either have no education requirement or a high school diploma is enough.
