but for lawful permanent status

I'm hoping it means that the background checks on the individual have cleared and is not instead referring to the 6 months that they have to come up with a plan to secure the border and whatnot. As for the status, I'm pretty sure they're referring to granting DACA approved the RPI. |

so basically we do another background check so they can make sure we havent gotten in trouble since we were daca approved?

I’m trying to find it in the bill but I can’t find it if anything like this exists. I qualify for the Dream Act (too old for DACA at 33) under this bill so I will apply when it is approved, however, I married a US Citizen in 2004 and we have two daughters. I’m EWI so I can’t adjust without leaving the country. I understand that the time required to be away from families has been shortened by form I-601A, but it would still require me to leave and the form says that I am ineligible because I already had an interview scheduled to appear (in which I didn’t show up because of the 10 year ban). It also doesn't guarantee that I'd be let back in?? I don't know. My case is complicated and I'll be seeking legal advice (again) once this is all passed. I have a valid SS given to me when I was a child with my name on it. I use it to work while claiming citizenship on I-9. The legal advice I got two years ago was that I still couldn't do anything because of the EWI. So with this new proposed bill, is there a way to adjust my status to Permanent Resident without having to leave at all? Or just go the DA route? I have my BA. |
