When you file that 601a, USCIS notifies NVC of waiver filing.

Do it within a year and you don’t have to do anything for now with NVC.

Just pay visa fees when filing waiver.

If my I601A got approved and interview scheduled, do both my wife and I need to go to the interview or is it just me?

Good, that means only one person needs to travel, less expensive. Happy cat.

Question for you all: How long did it take for USCIS to cash your check or give you the receipt notice? It shows the 601A package we sent arrived to the Chicago lockbox on Thursday of last week. Usually they’re quick about getting your money.

It usually takes them 1-2 weeks to mail you a receipt (Notice of Action).

Yeah, it’s been a week since it got delivered there and they haven’t even withdrawn the funds for the form.
