To those who are in AR and have been delayed for shipping to basics:
Are you guys going to drills?

Yes, and even though your unit will tell you it's not required, you're supposed to. You can't participate in every single one obviously like the annual training or ranges, but be sure to show up for the briefs, it's easy money.

Could you elaborate on why we are supposed to? Do you mean legally or more to develop relationships in the unit and to assimilate?

My understanding is that the day we sign the contract is the day you start your contract with the Army Reserves. It just make sense to attend your drills, those who tell you otherwise are those who shipped 2-3 months after signing their contracts AKA: non-MAVNI soldiers.

Hmm, I am just getting really mixed range of answers. Some that I know are MAVNIs said pre-basic drills are not mandatory. Some SGTs say they are and some say they aren't. I can't really find anything concrete anywhere..

Hi all, im still waiting for ssbi and i want to know what u guys put on sf86 work information. I did not write in anything and my recruiter told me not to but i will tell the truth when i meet with investigator. What will this result if i told the investigator? Thank u!

Have you guys heard about people submitting their N-400/N-426 packets before shipping? We have one guy in our unit this past drill that got his N-426 signed by our Cdr, and he submitted his packet--and apparently many delayed MAVNIs are doing so..

yeah, there are some uscis documents stating they will administratively close the packet if you try to submit before bct, but i dont think thats a nation wide standard

Some of my friends that i know personally applied for naturalization before shipping out to bct. will update when i hear more

I just submitted my n400 packet as well.
