Listen, you are missing the point.

Do I think that undocumented people should be able to get financial help to finish their college eduction? Of course but it's like wanting world peace.

Is it feasible? Absolutely not.

Basically what will happen is that the first wave of people will get this and then after a while the money will run out, and this whole process will further crumble the already shaky system. Yeah, people in the first group will be happy but what about the next group that needs to be supported by the first group whose higher incomes and thus higher taxes were suppose to generate the extra revenue needed for the expansion of the program? What if you are in the second group?

Cali is not Texas. The state is in horrible debt right now, and it is not like there is this huge surplus of money that is just being allocated for financial aid.

tuition and housing when that equals to 29,000 a year.
Whoa, going to a college that costs $30k a year and feeling entitled to financial aid is just surreal.

I agree, a small victory for one is a small victory for all of us. If they can emphasize how much difference this bill has made (after it passed of course) then I think it can serve as an opportunity for more people to be aware of the importance of Dream Act and how it can better this Nation.

lol most of us are transfer students some of us have gone to community college graduated and now have nothing cuz we couldn't afford to go to a uc or a calstate....listin im sure the this bill will expand to more than just the first group i mean look at financial aid it just about the same thing only this bill is for a specific groups of ppl......trust me if organization can put out money for scholarships for us im sure the public/private sector can dish a few dollars for us taxe payers as well.....i understand and get your points that u are making but i don't believe that would be the case for all american's i highly doubt it that besides you far right citizens others will call us free loaders if that was the case ppl would be calling everyone who attens a college and gets financial aid a free loader just because they are citizen pls we pay taxes too you ur argument tho a good one is a slippery slope....i just think this bill will curt the cir in the nation stage.

That's the problem right there. People against illegal immigration always say we are bringing debt and here is a bill that makes us look even worse, bringing more opposition to our cause. Frankly my main goal is not using the government to go to school. I care about becoming legal. If all the bill was about was having the same rights as legal aliens, then I would be okay, even if it said I would have to wait another 14 years to become a citizen. At least I would be legal, and be able to get a job, and one I want.

so i guess you are for the cir look i want to be legal who here doesn't but since that is not happenin anytime soon we need help paying for school.....honestly if you buy into all that negative rhetoric than in a way your supporting it....if a senator or congressman/woman or someone in your state assembly offers you a hand don't reject it because you might not see one of those for a long long while maybe another 7 years when you age out?......
