We are all here because even the worst situation here is better than the best situation in the countries we are from, because they are obviously not desirable to livein.

Yes...and I fully expect and want Alabama's economy to go down the drain following boycotts...I don't mean to wish harm to Alabamans but this is what you get for putting radicals in office.

Because those are some of the tough situations that we face here, and I don't consider them desirable.

Seriously, we all need to change our way of thinking, if there's no other way of legalizing here and these Alabama-like immigration laws keep being signed into law, it's time to consider moving out of the country and I intend on following my own advice.

I have to give credit to the Dreamers that stopped waiting for the Dream Act/CIR Reform and either got their status fixed by either leaving the country and returning, fixing it within the country, or those that left the country for good to their home countries or another country, in my opinion, they made the right decisions.
I'm having serious thoughts of moving to India. Lets face it. America isn't the only country that can make our dreams come true. There's a world outside of this place. Seriously if there is no Dream Act in 2013, I see myself moving out. Gonna make the best of it and get all credentials necessary till then. If it happens it happens...otherwise its time to peace out.

I would love to leave but my family is here. They get on my nerves and I wish I could wipe them out sometimes with just a glance but I love them. I'm going to miss out on 10 years of seeing my nieces and nephews grow, of being able to spend Christmases and New Years with my family completely drunk and passing out, and 10 years of having a country separate me from the people I love.

I'll leave what means the world to me against all heartbreak. The soul needs room to fly and you can't fly if you are always terrified. 2013 will be the last year I will hold out hope.

I hope the DREAM Act does eventually pass even if I'm no longer in the country. God knows we've endured a lot over this. I hope its not in vain and people will be able to take advantage of this piece of legislation.

Well.... in paper I may be a citizen, but I expect I would be considered an outsider in that country, specially considering the number of differences and the already existent complications with communication with my own family in my country of birth...

And that is another thing... I would be leaving my family behind because my parents who are PR can't be outside of the US more than a few months per year, my sister has her career over here, and my extended family, with the exception of a few members who have been able to visit the US, have pretty much become strangers. I recently saw video of when I parents visited and was shocked to not recognize almost anyone. I may know some of their voices from the very few and rushed phone conversations, but I would not have been able to recognize most people, still did not recognize some of the people even when my parents told me who they were.

As challenging as it may be I am staying here and won't give up
