dude, you sound like a tea bagger without papers. You're just a fucking illegal like everyone else here. Overstaying a visa is just as much of a crime as swimming across the river so just shut the FUCK up.

Moderator? Moderator?

Where's a moderator when you need one? This isn't a productive discussion. We've got enough shit to deal with in real life to be stressing out someone somewhere expressing his or her opinion on an online forum. I don't care about sides, but this has become too personal, too fast.

Get off your high chair! I don't think they welcome your ass here as well. Overstaying your visa is the same as crossing the border. Your parents had the intent of overstaying their presence here so you KNEW from the beginning that you were going to commit something illegal beforehand. Yes, you were given a ticket, but that ticket had an expiration date so basically you're also trespassing at this point because the grass is greener and you liked smoking it.
The only reason this whole thread is a mess is because some of you feel entitled and that someone owes you something. All I'm saying is that I understand other people who doesn't qualify for the DA, but why persecute someone and feel that you're way better than they are when technically you're on the same boat trying to stay afloat.
I know there are only a few who qualify for the DA, and that's us, obviously. But all I'm saying is that it doesn't make you any better than someone who makes your dinner at a restaurant, or pick the vegetables and fruits that you consume. I'm glad that we qualify for the DA if it does go through, but that is no reason to be less mindful of someone sharing the same status we are at this moment.

Not when you cross the border multiple times after being deported. If you think you have the right to do that, then you're delusional.

Hey you wanna lump them in with baby rapists for looking towards a better life go ahead, just don't expect people to agree to your sense of fairness.

Looking for a better life? So? Does that give them the right to hop the border... and more than once?

Dream Act is meant to be for innocent people who came here as kids. Not people who consciously come here illegally.

So stop defending criminals.

I understand and truly respect your argument.

All I have to say is that I really feel bad for those hard-working people who were cheated by lawyers and were deported. I wish something could be done to help them, especially if they have children who are US citizens : - \

I mean no offense to anyone. I respect both sides of this debate. But, the issue is that some people were honestly cheated.
