what they need to change is the freaking 10 year ban crap. Im sure most of us would be able to adjust our status and would be willing to go back to our countries of origin for a few months, maybe a year, until we can get visas and stuff.

Man, that sucks. Have you considered going back to your country? I mean I understand you, when I was younger I would fear the thought of leaving, but as I grew up (I am 23 now) I learned that leaving is okay too. Many people have left and are doing great! You should do some soul searching. I my self will be leaving in a few years.

I hope the best for you!

I know, the republican leadership stated very clearly that no legalization bill would ever make it out of commitee.

And that's why we have to be very wary of this. Remain cautiously optimistic, but keep in mind who we are dealing with.

Haha. Chair Force here I come. But if this were to actually pass I don't think The U.S Air Force would take us. They are much more stringent on who they allow to enlist. As it stands right now, the Air Force is the only branch that does not allow Conditional Residents to enlist which essentially is what we would be. Also, with all the military budget cuts looming and the Army shrinking to about 400,000, republicans will surely oppose this saying there is no need when the military is already full. Unless of course Iran get's crazy, but I seriously doubt it. Iran is more bark than bite.

This is only a set up. My prediction is that it will clear commitee and get blocked by democrats. The republicans will then proceed to blame democrats for obstructionism.
