If this frustrates you all, you guys could to whoever is organizing these marches and let them know that they don't represent you and to please tell their staff to inform people to not bring their flags or better yet take charge make your own march and run it however you want it.

Let’s talk about hypocrisy. You are blaming Mexicans to be hypocrites because some of the next door neighbors never lose the ties with their home country. At least we have the guts to say we are Mexicans you in the other hand are so ashamed of your origins that not even have the guts to reveal it, it’s easy to bark from the anonymity.
We will have Immigration Reform sooner or later thanks to the vast majority of legal residents and Mexicans-American citizens which are smart enough to embrace the American culture and even people like you will benefit from this. THANKS TO THE ACTIVISM OF MEXICANS and LATINOS in general.

If you are so proud of the country, stay there! Wave that Mexican flag there proudly and I bet nobody will blink an eye. Just for fun though, try waving the American flag on Mexican streets and tell me how tolerant they are.

As far as benefiting from the activism of MEXICANS, don't pat yourself on the back too much because not all the attention Mexicans have brought to the table is positive. We wouldn't have the term "Anchor Baby" if Mexicans weren't coming here illegally and having 3 kids and not paying a penny to have them delivered and then getting WIC and other benefits. You think that's something to be proud of? You mean I should be thankful for people who don't know how to use a fucking condom or worse, those who think it's their duty to have as many kids as they can and have other people pay for it?

You think it's a good thing to be so proud of your home country that you don't bother learning English? I'm not even talking about writing a college term paper, I'm talking about people who have been here 5 years not being able to even understand simple sentences. You think that helps the cause?

Oh and what about teenage pregnancy and spending thousands of dollars on 15th birthday parties instead of college? You want to brag about that?

You may call my learning English, not spreading my seed around like wild flowers, and wanting to be part of the US "being ashamed of your heritage" but I acknowledge the things that are wrong with my own culture and call them out instead of wearing rose colored glasses. You don't even own a mirror.

In the meanwhile, please ask your proud countrymen to put their holy flags at home when they protest.

You guys need to understand that Iamaman has been literally been waiting for the government to fix his status what the last 3 decades of his life ? He didn't get married for personal reasons so there goes that method. He didn't choose to have kids here because wait why didn't you at least they could have petition for you? This old person just reeks of frustration and anger and is obviously choosing to direct all of that to Mexicans. As Mexicans are at fault for the term anchor baby actually no. That term was first used towards Vietnamese people. Other users here have gotten gotten married and are already in the process of adjusting their status. What Iamaman couldn't do in 3 decades they've managed to do it in less than 5 years* so I can see why all of that frustration and anger and stress is blowing up here. What's this you choose to not get married and adjust your status the right girl never came because you didn't want to spread your seeds around? You have had 3 decades to figure out how to fix your status but you have relied on the government to do it for you. Guess what? They're not not now not ever. The best you can wish for is for eDACA to work out and hopefully benefit from it. That's all you're going to get and you best make the best out it as many of us have. You can either do something about fixing your status on your own and it become bitter and angrier every time you see a Mexican baby and think to yourself how the ancher baby is going to adjust their parents status. So what's it going to be Iamaman? Yeah of course you're going to remain bitter and angry and even more frustrated if we get a 4-4.

I don't think I'm showing anger towards Mexicans. Just pointing out that a lot of the things the Mexican community has done is either counterproductive to the cause or otherwise not something to be proud of culturally to an objective observer - that is if we really want to be honest and not just kneejerk defensive. As for waiting for the government to fix my status, let's pretend that DACA wasn't from the government and you all did that on your own.

Anyway, I give up. Fly your Mexican flags high. Stick it to whitey and so on.

Its one thing to say

"Hey guys, quit bringing your Mexican flags, its giving people who can do something about us the idea that we want to invade their country, no one likes to feel their house is being invaded"

But you went above and beyond

"These MEXICANS needs to stop bring their their ANCHOR babies waving around their GOD DAMNED MEXICAN flag!!"

See the big difference?

So much personal attacks in this thread. I for one agree that that if you’re participating in a rally leave your country of origin flag at home. It’s like you know someone is having a party by invitation only however you crash the person’s party and demand that they serve you your food. You’re doing your cause no favors by being ignorant. If you have so much pride for your home country then why are you even here in the first place. You know why you came to America so don’t act as if America owes you immigration reform then feel entitled to wave your home flag especially when you know your ass is illegal. Celebrate your ethnicity at a cultural event NOT at a rally and for pete’s sake make the effort to learn the English language. There’s nothing more offensive than feeling entitled to get reform and you cannot string ONE sentence in English. I don’t care if you’re Mexican, European, Asian or Caribbean. Why do you think Americans watch these “immigrants” who can barely speak a lick of English marching with their flags held high with disgust and loathing? There are so many ethnicities who are illegal in this country but only Mexicans/Hispanics got the face. You can be politically correct about it but the bottom line is it’s the truth.

Well because the majority of illegals aliens are Mexicans it make sense the Mexican flag would be used to represent illegal immigration.
