Probably because there is no gain from a pointless online debate. What is it going to accomplish? Stroke egos? What we're supposed to do is unite and not fall to pure pessimism because that's pure weakness. Yes, our situation might be difficult and there are many hurdles involved but we shouldn't give up so easily to the point where you want us to lose.

He is a fake DACA recipient as Trump would say...a complete disaster. I mean..dude has no heart for DACA recipients on here. He told one poster yesterday something fucked up like "Well losing DACA won't really affect you..you make a lot of money." He comes out creeping out of the woodwork whenever someone posts an article about Trump "cracking down on immigration." He also advocates for "citizenship for all" including those with DUI records. He was also railing against Dreamers last year and telling them they "shouldn't feel entitled to anything." SMH.

I have sympathy for everyone here but we have to admit that DACA is unconstitutional. All legislative powers belongs to Congress according to the constitution. Obama/Trump cannot make law on their own. However, legislative relief is in order and very possible. Once the courts recind DACA (which they most certainly will) then we fight for legislative relief. It's not rocket science.

We will have to agree to disagree. The SC commented on this in the SB1070 ruling. Obama within the scope of his presidential authority to issue DACA.
Notably, President Obama issued his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) order permitting many young undocumented immigrants to remain in the country on June 15, 2012. Arizona was decided on June 25, 2012. So the idea that the president might use his power to grant a broad class of undocumented immigrants new rights via an executive order would have been very much on the justices’ minds at the time that Justice Kennedy wrote language into the Arizona decision laying out the breadth of the executive branch’s discretion.
Where the shit gets murky is the Attorney General's involvement. And we, unfortunately, have Sessions.

U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-El Paso, said Paxton's letter underscores the need for Congress to put the program into law.
"There's an opportunity for Congress here, but to be honest with you it's an opportunity that's existed for a while that we've been unable to act on, in large part because the discussion has been dominated by uninformed fears of Mexico, the borders and Mexicans," he said. "If you look at the facts, you find that DACA beneficiaries, or Dreamers, have been a very significant part of the success of the state of Texas and communities like Texas."

Thanks for the info. I agree that the President has the right to temporarily stop deportations but the power too issue work permits and Social Security cards is under the sole authority of Congress. Because of this the lawsuit may be successful.
