It is good that Trump is being unable to do anything.

He will be forced to cooperate with the Dems on issues going further.

Dems gotta play it smart, they gotta work for something practical like a solution for DACA. And not to simply insist on mass amnesty.

We are so close to our Dream Act, people. So close.

if they do violate the "good faith clause" when we signed up, thats a class-action lawsuit of 800k ppl vs the US Govt.

and if we do get deported, how long is the backlog? 2 yrs to get a hearing and 6 yrs after that?

u need to chill out dude, ur like the biggest advocate for deportation on here.
Loving that good faith contractual analysis my bro. Cheers.

I hope we get relief--even if it is at least us because we will then be a stronger position of power to stand up for others. Scenarios: 1) we let DACA die, we demand comprehensive immigration reform and reject the piecemeal solution, we go back to the shadows for the sake of solidarity with other immigrants, and we then try to defend the community from a weakened ass state or 2) We get relief and then fight for the other immigrants from a position of power (e.g. permanent legal status). Take your pick.

I always puzzle at the fucktarded dreamers arguing for the first scenario and pressuring for the all-or-nothing approach. WHAT THE FUCK. Under the second scenario, we can help our loved ones with so many things (e.g. income, housing, and protecting their property interests).

I just want to beat the shit out of anyone arguing for the first scenario. BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF YOU. Fucktards.

First off, I wouldn't fight for others exposing myself, at least not until becoming a USC.

You can still fight for others without engaging in rallies that will get you arrested. For instance, volunteering at a non-profit that offers pro bono removal defense.

All or nothing approach is stupid, unfeasible and unrealistic.

Let us, Dreamers, get papers and help the rest out.

800k citizens vouching for others aint no small matter.

I saw a clip of the DACA demonstration in Texas recently, fighting against Paxton's lawsuit threat. One of the Dreamers getting arrested turns to the camera and says: "I'm doing this for the 11 million undocumented immigrants out there."

What have you done in the last five years with Daca to make progress for the other 10.2 MM undocumented?

The fact is that the undocumented population covered by Daca did not even organize to pressure to save Dapa. Let's be honest.

It is difficult to put yourself on the line and risk your livelihood - which is why creating a permanent solution is urgently needed.

I have volunteered in pro bono legal clinics and immigration law offices at least 20 hours a week for the last 3-5 years.

I am also a second year law student who interns for a non-profit that focuses on removal defense.
