Minor changes were made to Obamacare requiring income verification for those receiving health care. President Obama signed the bill shortly after midnight on Oct. 17, ending the shutdown.

In the end, they can attach their own riders and overlook the DA being attached.

WOW! What a victory. The shutdown was about repealing the law. So it didn't work.

Republicans know that Schumer and Pelosi hold the strings now.

Republicans will need Dem support because conservatives and freedom caucus DO NOT want a deficit increase WITHOUT cuts to other programs. Dems can withhold votes unless Republicans add DA as a rider. Republicans will need to incentivize them to vote, Dems don't even have to shut the government down, Republicans will do it amongst themselves

Ur a troll, in the end, Republicans will gridlock their own shutdown when freedom caucus refuses to vote for their plan. They need Dem votes and what better way to incentivize them then with the DA?

No, I'm not a troll. Just someone who's very interested in immigration reform. Republicans gridlock their own shutdown? They're not even threatening one. What " plan" are you referring to? Funding the Government for the next year? And on what conditions will the Freedom Caucus reject this plan? They are already backing away from the DA, unless "border security" concerns are met. And that can mean anything. The wall is a requirement in the House. Whatever bill Schemer attaches DA to will in the end go to conference. The chances of survival are all.

The December 2015 omnibus measure, for example, was supported by roughly 60 percent of the House Republican conference, including only three Freedom Caucus members. Democrats, meanwhile, secured a number of victories on specific “policy riders” in exchange for their support of the package. .

What you got now?

The Koch brothers plan to mobilize their conservative political network in order to push Congress to protect the young undocumented immigrants left at risk by the Trump administration's decision to rescind DACA, per The Daily Beast.

Their influence: Many GOP members of Congress were elected with Koch money and support, so this decision grants them cover to support some form of legislation that would allow DREAMers to stay in the United States — even as more hawkish conservatives push for stricter immigration laws.

Why it matters: It underscores that the DACA debacle — and immigration reform as a whole — is the rare issue that can transcend partisan lines in Washington.

90 house republicans voted against the Schumer/Pelosi/Trump budget agreement.

Republicans need Dem support, if they had the full support of their caucus, do you think they'd be having a meeting with Schumer and Pelosi?? Those republicans do not want to increase the debt ceiling without huge budget cuts in programs. Moderates don't want those huge budget cuts. In the end, you get a divided caucus that needs Dem support.

The Koch brothers are notorious for prioritizing other matters ahead of immigration reform. Such as, trashing politicians that are for immigration reform if they are for the ACA.
