As a strategy, pushing for a Clean bill is a way of not giving up too much too early before a potential vote. If you come out now with that, then they'll start asking for way more.

I'd accept the wall for full DA (Durbin-Graham version), but not some RACA or succeed nonsense. If that's what he's pushing he's getting a government shutdown. Hell, republicans gained seat after that bullshit, what do democrats stand to lose now?
