This is the week guys! I’m sure it will be a rollercoaster with good and bad news headlines, but we have to remain positive and optimistic. We deserve this!!

It gets me kinda nervous that ultimately this Dreamer push is going to be some bullshit DACA amendment where we get the same DACA, but in bill form this time...I mean one of the more popular bills that was floated around was a work permit for 2 years or 3 years but not renewable...what the heck would that really accomplish?...geezus...

What about Dream Act?

I don't want to seem demanding, but a bit frustrated that we are at this historic moment and it may be tainted by some low ball fix that doesn't do much except bandaid a bad wound.

Anyway, I still welcome any relief we can get, and hope everything works out for all of us, and I have much love for all in Congress and all in power who are doing their best to help us.
I think DACA has become synonymous with DREAM Act like legislation. DACA has become such a house hold name that I think that's why it's referred to often as DACA fix.

None. If you must know, both trips were sponsored by my employer. The second trip we joined many other tech companies and fwd.us

Far left comment was only meant for Kamala Harris.

Democrats are standing firm here. Either we get the Dream Act, or McConnell nukes the filibuster.

I don't think McConnell will nuke the filibuster. He is scared of the blue wave in 2018.

Even with a blue wave they have the presidency until early 2021. Still, nuking the filibuster would end up with democrats giving us a second New Deal. We can only assume that dismantling anything that is made well and passed by democrats under simple majority would be hard.

They can bitch about ACA due to it being just a shitty piece of legislation. It means well but it does it in crappy ways.
