we'll be lucky if we even get bridge considering how tough it is to pass any immigration law.

Like I mentioned.....delay is the name of the game. Still, if Senate and House leaders are willing to support, the process would go a lot easier.

It's not going to be Bridge.

It will be an altered version of Flake's bill announced last week with some tweaks including border security and other immigration reforms.

The White House could present that plan within days, according to Politico, though Democrats and Republicans who attended the meeting with Kelly agreed that legislative action on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program would not come until 2018.

In the meeting, Kelly and other administration officials detailed how much more fencing the White House wants along the U.S. southern border before it would back a DACA deal, according to the report.

I still find it tough to believe the Dems could just let go of leverage so easily. It is so evident that kicking the can down the road is a huge sign of weakness.

Me too. I don't understand their strategy. Don't they see their base is eager and energized, and this caving will snuff that right out.

What I really want to understand, a lot of companies who also happen to be their donors came in our favor, this is all including the Koch brothers, who basically own the freedom caucus, do they just speak out for good publicity and in reality don't really give a fuck? (Which in most cases is the case anyway)

It's obvious what's going to happen. Come January, Republicans will start saying that we need to wait until Trump addresses the nation. Trump will call for a bunch of stupid items like the wall, end to chain migration, e-verify and negotiation will stall. We'll end up with Bridge Act at best.

Pass BRIDGE now as a down payment and DA in January. It doesn't get any easier than that. Piece of cake.
