I might be on the wrong, but if 3 years is all we get.. I am fine with it for now. If some of you guys want to self-deport because we only get 3 years.. go for it. In 3 years anything can happen, we could have more democrats to pass DA, we can get married. If republicans are not deporting us and giving us 3 year relief.. this means in 3 years something else will happen. Maybe another 3 years, maybe permanent solution, maybe CIR. But if they are not deporting us right now, they won't deport us in 3 years. Stop being so picky. beggars can't be choosers, if you're too good for a 3 years extension, then probably better for you to start packing if that happens. Be grateful for that at least.

Point is that in 3 years you will be in the same place you are now... just 3 years later I don’t think it makes any sense to postpone the same thing over and over... I’d rather get a word in next 2 - 3 months that nothing will get done... rather than just a bill that will say hey in 3 years you will be in the same position.

With that said I don’t think any of us said that we will self deport. I just want a straight answer. Yes or No. not maybe sort of but not sure. Treat us like people and tell us what’s up.

End of August for me... but honestly I'd take a solid answer one way or the other...

Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) signaled anew Wednesday that Democrats would not agree to anything beyond a bare-bones stopgap as long as there was no bipartisan agreement on spending, immigration and other sensitive issues.

That spelled a likely end to any attempt by McConnell to add the health-care legislation at Collins's behest because some Democrats would have to support the move for it to overcome a 60-vote Senate procedural hurdle.

"We cannot do a short-term funding bill that picks and chooses what problems to solve," Schumer said. "That will not be fair and will not pass. We have to do them all together, instead of in a piecemeal fashion."
