look how far we have gone when 5 years ago we had nothing accomplished
That means nothing if things don't get passed. We'll be the first to get deported, it's easy pickings for ICE, they know where we are. Trump doesn't give a fuck.

Wall is for the president
Chain immigration + DV is for Sen Cotton and Sen Perdue and conservative republicans
DACA legalization is for Dems

I guess everyone is getting what they want so what is the issue?

Good question. Because, if I jinx it, R had no heart. Well, they never had any. I think the resurrection is to get more D to stand with R.

“There is no immediate danger now. We can talk about immigration after we pass the spending bill.” said the R.

“But I am contested for the upcoming primary!” said some D.

“Listen, if you let the government shutdown, you will share some equal blame too. Stalling the funding for the federal government, including aids, bad idea. Let’s talk ablut immigration later. I promise we will bring it up because we also want to show to our voters we R have dealt with immigration problems.” R replied.

“Right! We can work out somrthing together!” D said.

Okay now we got a bunch of sell out D.

Then in March:
“I crafted a nice immigration package.” R said. Then R passed with full party support and said fuck you to D . Even if they put DA in it, probably pretty bad like SUCCESS. So yeah, we better hope we don’t end up like this. But we have seen this before.

Am I still delusional or is that not how American Congress has always worked?

Sen Duban should have kept quiet after that meeting and continue working on the bill with Sen Flake until some deal was set. I understand how he feels but now we are off the focus. Everyones focus is now with what President said and media is taking full advantage of this situation to take revenge with trumps presidency making him look more bad and this is not helping daca negotiations at all

You don’t have to leave the same comment in every thread.

Good thing this is his opinion.

People are entitled to opinions.

No one should be surprised. I've said it before, just look at Trump's actions:

(1) Countless insults against immigrants during campaigning.
(2) Appointing Bannon, Miller, and Sessions.
(3) Implementing a stupid travel ban that made no sense.
(4) Ending DACA and TPS.
(5) Holding Dreamers hostages over the wall and other outrageous demands.
(5) Calling other nations "shitholes," while saying he wants immigrants from countries like Norway.

So no one should be surprised if he doesn't want a deal. But the delusional ones here claim he is our savior. If he signs something, it will be for getting his unrealistic demands met, not because he gives a shit about us.

Again, we are only 800k votes. Chain migration is 400k New dem votes per year. Why do you think republicans are obsessed with it? They know their party will be done if they don’t stop immigration.

I agree but dreamers situation is not like TPS who are enjoying continuous renewals since past 10 years or DV who are coming here on GC and enjoying full benefits next day without even knowing this country rules and culture. On the other side we Dreamers who lived here all life, know the culture and enjoy broad support and sympathy among all Americans who cannot even live life as normal Americans are living in the past 17 years just because we don't have GC. We should come first at least for humanity sake??? I know but politics is another ball game
