So sad.

For all their fluff. Dems did practically nothing for us.

That's no 100% true. They drew more attention to the issue. We got a shit load of media coverage.

Anyways, no US citizen is giving up their right to sponsor their parents for us. You can keep repping Trump but his bitchass better meet in the middle.

Taking a RIGHT to give to illegals makes no sense. What we are getting is a privilege. Not a right

It is a right under current laws and laws are subjected to change. Thats what the discussion is about.

They're supporting the proposal which screams "yess take way the rights of others to help me. If you don't agree with me then you're selfish "

Family sponsorship has never been a RIGHT, it has been a PRIVILEGE. People forget how much friendlier our immigration laws are compare to other countries that all of a sudden they think is a RIGHT.

I don’t agree with this bill taking family sponsorship away from future citizens who eventually want to sponsor. But here’s the reality, there is a 4 MILLION applications backlog, we keep crying about how our immigration system is “broken” and that’s why we’re here illegally, well guess what? This is a part of that problem. Because of how crazy the waiting time is we had to immigrate here ILLEGALLY.

The fact that most families have to wait 10 years or more to reunite is ridiculous. Having to put a stop to this will help USCIS catch up and process a lot of current applications a lot faster. People need to understand that this not always going to be a permanent issue so it can be considered a stopgap. Eventually the Democrats will regain the White House and control of Congress and just bring it back.

Laws doesn’t make it a RIGHT. Immigration has never been a RIGHT, it’s been a PRIVILEGE. We just happened to be in a country that is more welcoming to immigrants than others! Don’t get it twisted. Go to China and see how they treat you there and then come back and let me know if you still believe immigration is a RIGHT.

That’s like saying “Oh California just passed a Marijuana law, I can go smoke anywhere now it is my right.” Not it is not, it’s a PRIVILEGE in which you can still get prosecuted for it.

Isn't voting a privilege too? 5.8 people can't vote because they are felons and have to wait 2 years to be elegible again. Because if voting was a right I don't think it could be taken away?
