All trump wanted is a wall. It's the people surrounding him who are messing it up for us.

This clause is truly a poison pill, it is pretty much encouraging people who are not even here yet to come illegally. Why would they come up with such unreasonable clause!???

So anyone who entered illegally before June 2018 is considered a long term resident? Makes absolutely zero sense. If that was their plan, why not back date it 5-10 years?

Well, they have to put a line somewhere dont you think? The goal here is to never have to deal with this "illegals" situation again. Its not all about relief for us.

I agree it's strange they picked that date, but again this is only about priority - there's no protection for anyone undocumented.

Last page 64, but start reading from page 60 at the bottom of the page "Enforcement Priorities"

No, you don’t get it that’s the same argument for DACA protection, DACA doesn’t protect us from deportation, but DHS has to demonstrate that we are a priority over others to get us deported. This is defacto backdoor amnesty.

So from what I read it means they will prioritize a criminal arriving after june 30th over a criminal who has been here. Both are a priority.
