When I said Indiana is a shit hole, I speak out of personal experience as I spent a good portion of my adolescence there.

Maybe things are different now but in the 80's if you weren't black or white, you were always starred at. Anywhere we went, we'd be ask "where are you from?". The odd part is that we're kind of whitish and had a rule about only speaking English in public to avoid a scene. It was mostly curiosity but some of it was downright hateful too. Hell, a couple of teachers I had were downright bastards. \

Had a shop teacher in middle school who would mimic me when I spoke to make fun of my accent. It wasn't in a playful way either. In HS I had a math teacher who during the first gulf war make crude and racist jokes and then look at me. There was no anti-bullying campaigns back then and speaking up would just put a bigger target on my back. Dating? Forget it. It would be taboo to date someone outside of your race and/or religion.

Overall Indiana is a nice place to go if you're white and you just want to die in peace without meeting anybody new or being exposed to anybody new. No fancy new foods to try...no people with accents to meet...nada. My only contact to there is through my facebook account and I still see that it hasn't changed much. People were bragging about going to meet Trump at a rally, and people who have lived in the same block all their lives having very strong views on world politics.

I guess one good thing is the cost of living is low there...and they do have a few big companies in the state so if you get transferred there, you'll live like a freaking king on a professional person's salary and they're desperate to have educated people come there since the locals are yokels. The smart people there band together kind of like expats do when they go to a third world country.

Not Africa...one of the fun Middle Eastern countries. I'd rather not say.

Ahh the famous "Anyone that disagrees with me is a troll" fallacy! What an original tactic.

What you failed to realize is that most of the poverty stricken areas in Red States that use government assistance lean to the left. ( https://www.forbes.com/sites/markhen.../#7322e4c46e06 )

Also, most high tax blue states are fiscally irresponsible and are commonly prone to debt. The best run states in terms of finance are low tax Red states. (

Disclaimer: I'm not a conservative nor a liberal. I don't affiliate with any political party. I stand with facts and data.
