Reminds me of the episode from Casa de Papel, where the hostages are offered 1mill when the hit is over if they cooperate with the robbers to keep printing money at a faster pace, making them accomplices.

By the way if anyone feels like binging a good ass psycho-thriller watch Casa de Papel.

How quickly people forget that the only reason Trump had to rescind DACA was due to the pending lawsuit deadline.... He even gave a 6 month timeline for congress to fix it!!! Democrats want to blame that he's the guy that "cancelled it" but he had to take that action due to the lawsuit at the time... I think most of us agreed at the time, that was the best decision he made for the program.

Trump never touched DACA until the lawsuit came into play. Let's not forget that.

ICE did change their deportation priorities and started to deport nonviolent immigrants. The reason why we are still here is the simple fact that they don't have the resource to deport us all.

Didn’t the Supreme Court rule Arizona had to issue DLs to daca holders and what did trump say?

Okay, I give you that Trump kept the program in place until the lawsuit threat but he also sabotage any sort of compromise that Congress tried to pass.

I personally haven't forgotten that, the same way I haven't forgotten how he has thwarted all efforts to pass a solution.

Unfortunately it's all politics now... Both sides negotiating what they want, while trying to appease to their base. Eventually something will fall our way though.

Like others have said, the current block and the fact that we are still able to renew DACA has reduced the sense of urgency to get the deal done.
