They will have to or it will be a massive problem during electoral season. The left loves a good scandal and there's nothing worse than their beloved DACAs being eligible for deportation. Nothing worse than Democrats being seen as to blame for why nothing got done on a reasonable bill. Repubs know they must put out a reasonable deal that can pass the house, they aren't dumb.

It's a Democrat nightmare scenario and the Latino vote is pushed down as well.

Republicans would be energized by a Dem failure. They simply have no choice but to say yes, or dreamers are done for. With the decreased Dem turnout there will be a new red wave.

What makes you believe it will be reasonable bill? Last time the GOP versions of the bill were not reasonable at all.

They still have to get it past the house of representatives, which is dem controlled. They can't ask for crazy shit, but they can still make demands.

Even with using us as hostages, it still has to make it past the chamber of representatives.

I hope the dems will be pragmatic and not let us get screwed over, but given the pessimism found in here, I fear they will pick the high road and let us get screwed.

The goodlatte bill would've made it, without its secret poison pill language getting found out. We now know the extremes they will go for.

It's the GOP that are actually screwing us by not being fair and adding the 3 pillars and poison pills.

Turn this around: If Republicans really love you, why would they want to get something in return? They're our buddies aren't they? They have control over the Senate and the WH don't they? If they pass a genuinely good immigration bill, you really think House Democrats will reject it? GTFO.

Exactly why do our parents need to be deported for us to get a dried old bone?

At this point we are asking for an permanent DACA. Something we don’t have to worry about. But these two idiots are begging our parents to be deported and if we are against this then We are selfish.

Well now that we are confirmed screwed, they have more of a reason to add poison pills. Still though, they must make a bill that can pass the democrat controlled house. Otherwise it is a pointless task.

Proof that it works is when DACA was cancelled via court, and dems put full wall funding. Then trump said no, dems said no, once DACA came back. I believe they'll make another big deal to Trump that he cannot refuse.

It takes two to tango.

Why are you against Dream Act...why are you pushing for only DACA (temporary work permit with no traveling capability.

Rest of us Dreamers want Green Cards too, why are you against Green Cards for Dreamers? This is a Pro-Dreamer forum. We want Dreamers to succeed and excel and become legalized.
