Im not sure if the ability to work and live here for 5 years without not only the fear of deportation but without the fear that they're going to revoke your priviliges is really any of the "worst options." There are millions of people that live here without ability to work. They could use this. Especially when the chances of immigration reform in the next 10 years is close to 0.

My point exactly. Daca covers 1M people and the plan C is estimated to cover 7.1M. This can help over 6M people. I dont consider this bad at all, if it actually had a chance at passing.

They should still dismiss and ignore the parliamentarian because her argument is fucking bullshit. "Granting permanent residency does much more than merely generate and cost money", guess what, everything you do with money does that.
You spend money on infrastructure - you materially affect the lives of people who will use said infrastructure.
You provide healthcare - you materially affect the lives of people who will use said healthcare.
You provide family leave - you materially affect the lives of the child, the parents, and whatever support network they have.
You send stimulus checks to people - again you don't merely make the balance sheet red, you materially affect people's lives, and not even just the lives of people who got the checks because this money will be spent, used to pay others, spent again, etc.
You tax the richest N Americans to high hell - again you will materially affect Jeff Bezos's life because now he doesn't have the money to make another dick shaped rocket.
You go on another war - you turn a lot of soldiers and middle eastern kids into skeletons.

Yeah, per usual, they could dismiss the parliamentarian if they can get 50 votes + Harris, but Manchin has said he isn't ready to throw away Byrd rules which means he's not ready to overrule the parliamentarian.

If he is, sure go for it. But if he isn't and he isn't budging, take what you can. I certainly would love to travel back home.

You don't need a majority or supermajority to override the parliamentarian which is basically an advisory role that just kinda exists, there's no concrete rule or law vesting the power with them.
You could have the presiding officer - either the VP (Kamala Harris), President Pro Tempore (Patrick Leahy), or Acting President Pro Tempore (designated by Patrick Leahy, rotates between junior senators from majority) simply come to a different conclusion, and then you'd need a super majority to overrule their decision unless republicans managed to convince Manchin or/and Sinema to go nuclear with them and I don't think you can go nuclear without consent of the presiding officer.

So you're voting R? Or 3rd party that's never in power to just throw your vote away?
